Hi Jo, Bunnings doesn’t really have the stuff for making mallets, but we do, you can borrow one the first few times you come down and we bring all the right bits and pieces every few weeks to make your own. See you one Sunday!

Hi – I’m interested in having a crack at this.
When’s your next game and if i pop into bunnings is there any recommended method for making one’s own mallet.

PS. My brother’s visiting Melbourne soon too and I’d love to bring him along. I’m currently fixing up a bike form him so he can join in on these kinds of fun adventures (I have to make it especially for him as he is HUMUNGOUS. Something like the bfg.)

Which city are you on fella?

We use Coreflute from craft shops.. about $10 a sheet and makes two. Cut it to the size of your wheel.. then art it up! paint it with a design or pop some stickers on.. then mount it on the bike with some cable ties.

Hi,
we play bicycle polo in Newcastle every sunday at 2pm, at King Edward Park bowling club. We get 10 or 20 turn up, and play round robbins on two grass fields.

Urbancyclist – we have a regular game now every Monday night at 6.30pm at the Seaford Football Ground – Seaford Rd. There is a court between the cricket nets at the far end of the oval which is perfect! We played this week and had ten different players – had a ball. We shot some video and took stacks of pics which I will publish when I get them from my mad BP mates!! We would LOVE to see anyone else join us for a game – we’re still very much beginners but experienced riders, so our skills are improving quickly….
