Hi,
we play bicycle polo in Newcastle every sunday at 2pm, at King Edward Park bowling club. We get 10 or 20 turn up, and play round robbins on two grass fields.

Urbancyclist – we have a regular game now every Monday night at 6.30pm at the Seaford Football Ground – Seaford Rd. There is a court between the cricket nets at the far end of the oval which is perfect! We played this week and had ten different players – had a ball. We shot some video and took stacks of pics which I will publish when I get them from my mad BP mates!! We would LOVE to see anyone else join us for a game – we’re still very much beginners but experienced riders, so our skills are improving quickly….

Personally I run a 30:16 gear ratio, but whatever works for you.

On equestion guys – we noticed most of the bikes had small chain rings – what are the specs of a typical chainset and crank kit – and what cog on the rear? any tips??

We are the Frankston Chapter – we came and checked out the Nationals on Sunday – and fell in love! This sport is for us!! How do we register a team to play you guys??? We have found an old basketball court we can use, and are all madly building bikes we can use and cutting off our ski poles! What tips have you got for us all??? We were the mad group with all the crazy retro bikes and dragsters watching!!
