Kensington Bike Polo court in 2030?

Melbourne Bike Polo has made a submission to the Arden Macaulay Structure Plan Public Consultation.

A structure plan is prepared by urban planners in a council when an area is about to undergo significant change. The Arden Macaulay area around Kensington and North Melbourne is mainly industrial but is projected to become a high intensity mixed use and residential area in the next 20 years. The plan talks about creating a linear park along the Moonee Ponds creek underneath CityLink.

Our submission calls for the creation of more publicly accessible active recreational spaces for bike polo and other activities that require similar spaces like roller derby, street inline and unicycle hockey, skating, bmx and fixed freestyle. The submission also promotes the idea of a climbing wall under the freeway.
