Eighth Inch make a pretty reasonable, well priced frame, that I’ve been riding as my polo bike for the last 6 months or so.
They have just announced the release of a few polo specific products. Namely a mallet head (or complete mallet?) and a tournament manager app for your phone.

woah awesome! looking forward to seeing a demo of both the mallet head and iPhone app.. I wonder if the iPhone app can upload results to something, like another computer with an attached projector
I wonder if the divot on the side of the mallet is there for “Side-Jointing” the ball, esp. since both ends are capped…did I just swear?!
Glad you guys are interested in our new Polo Gear. It’s going to be a mallet and shaft sold separately. Replacement heads and endcaps will be available too.
The endcaps are included but not installed. There are recessed screwholes already drilled to install the caps if you choose. That way you can run it capped or uncapped depending on your preference.
For the app, an online database of results is something we’re trying to work out but we’ll see how it goes. All the functions we “need” seem to be in place but now we’re trying to add some other cool features to make it even better.

Also, how much will the mallet head / handle cost?
We only got a few heads in for initial testing but we should have a few more coming but it will probably be a few weeks. We haven’t nailed down pricing yet but it’s not going to be anything that breaks the bank.
