This afternoon’s ‘distract-the-masses’ discussion revolved around sports that need more attention, sparked by the recent media focus on the Roller Derby. I managed to throw in both a mention of the national comp held recently over in Perth, as well as the upcoming tournament here in Melbourne. Unfortunately, Richard was more interested in bike jousting – I don’t think this happens in Melbourne anymore, maybe at the occasional MDMA party. One thing that made me laugh was just before I went on air, when the producer who took my call went “*sigh* I thought we’d get you guys calling.”
